Christmas Dinner Theatres – 2011 to 2017

It was the brainchild of Irene Martin (Resident and Councillor) of Tudor and Cashel to bring children together from our township and those surrounding ours to perform a Christmas play to their parents, grandparents and those in the community who chose to attend a religious oriented pageant (a lost art) to enhance their Christmas celebrations.  Each of these musical theatres had rehearsals from October to the performance which usually had their debut the first week of December.

Our first performance and dinner took place in the Community Centre on a stage constructed by Bob Clarke.  Diane Percy was in charge of the lasagna dinner and served 145 community members.   The play was entitled “Rip Van Christmas”.

Our second performance and dinner took place in the Community Centre as well.   The play was entitled “Joyland”.
